Good morning!

We made it through another week-end of “weather issues,” and continue to keep hope alive for sunshine, warm temps, and a good spring planting season for our farmers, along with better weather for the birth of new calves on the farms!

Since there was no worship service yesterday at either Trinity or Badger, printed below are a few of the announcements from the bulletin yesterday. If you have questions, please feel free to call the church office at 785-3277.

Our sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Shirley Thue who died Saturday morning.   Shirley was the daughter of Buelah Hofer who was a long-time member of Trinity. Funeral services will be held at the Geise Funeral Chapel in Lake Norden on Wednesday morning, 11 a.m., with Pastor Bill Hammill from Castlewood officiating.

A LETTER OF CALL has been issued to Pastor Mark Jamison following the congregational meetings on April 7. Please keep him and Cindy in your prayers. Thank you for your strong vote of support for calling him as a full-time pastor for Trinity and Badger!

“THE LIFE OF A PASTOR’S SPOUSE” is a booklet written by Cindy Jamsion. A copy of it is available in the narthex. Please feel free to take it home to read, and then return it to the church so others may also read it.

THE NEW HOPE GUEST DAY has been rescheduled to this coming Friday, April 19, beginning at noon with a salad luncheon. Speaker will be the pastor from Hosanna Lutheran Church in Watertown. If you would like a ride, please call the church office.

Dear Friends,

It is with tremendous sadness and grief that I write to inform you of the tragic death of Kevin Chavez, the youngest son of Pastor Mark Chavez and Jocelyn. Kevin was 19 years old and was on his way home from a college course. It appears that he stopped not far from their home and was out of the car when he was struck by a car. (The driver of that car did not stop.) He died from those injuries. Please pray for them, encourage your family and congregation to do the same.
~ Bishop John Bradosky, NALC

Note: Pastor Mark Chavez is the General Secretary for the NALC. At the time of the accident, Pastor Chavez was at a conference in Canada. Funeral services were held in Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 13.
